A Jubilee legislator now wants Nasa leader Raila Odinga to accept the outcome of Monday's Supreme Court decision and back president Uhuru Kenyatta's second term.

Soy MP Caleb Kositany on Monday urged Odinga to join hands with the president so that the country can move forward after the Supreme Court dismissed petitions challenging his reelection.

The MP who was speaking in Eldoret also asked the former prime minister to contain and calm his supporters adding that so many lives and properties have been lost owing to the frequent confrontations between Nasa supporters and the police.

"My plea to Odinga and the Nasa team is that accept the court verdict and join us in nation building. We have dragged so much with this election matter and it's time we put it to rest. Odinga should also calm down his supporters and contain them from engaging in further protests because we have lost so many lives and properties in this country," he said.

Odinga is however still mum after the Supreme Court decision while his Nasa coalition has expressed indifference over the same saying that it did not file any petition challenging the October 26 repeat polls.

They have however promised to announce their next course of action in seven days time.
