A Jubilee-allied MP has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to treat people from Western region well.
Lugari MP Ayub Savula said he recently decamped from Jubilee Party because of stiff resistance he met from his constituents.
"The only development projects in Western are done through CDF," Savula said.
According to Savula, the government's promise to revive the collapsed Pan paper Mills is yet to kick-off and he believes none of the projects will be implemented with the elections less than a year away.
Speaking at Webuye Motel on Saturday when he met leaders from the Tachoni community, Savula asked Presidential aspirants from the former Western Province to unite and pick the right candidate who can steer the ever-elusive Luhya unity.
The lawmaker also said the amount of CDF funds allocated to the constituencies was 'too little' to enable them implement development projects in their respective jurisdictions.
