The duo are embroiled in a vicious war of words over multi-million legal services the MP had given to Nairobi County for over five years.

With Sonko challenging a number of payment in court, Momanyi now says he is keen to recover his dues.

"As a professional, my work must be respected. It is wrong for him to soil my name for no good reason and we must now meet in court.

"A client should respect rights of his legal team. Claiming that I am stealing without evidence is injurious and should be discouraged," he said.

In the first instance, Sonko had moved to court demanding Sh58 million from the MP as part of Sh60 million paid to him for legal services.

However, the MP maintains that the county owes him over Sh700 million as agreed initially before giving his services.
