A Member of Parliament on Friday threatened to strip and walk naked over a push to stop construction works for a multi-billion hospital project in Western Kenya.
Tindi Mwale ((Butere) told journalists that his opponents are out to frustrate the project in order to paint him a non-performer.
The multi-billion project is an initiative of Julius Mwale, the MPs brother and is part of the Mwale Medical and Technology City project under construction in Butere.
"My opponents haven't settled over their during the recently concluded election when I beat them," Mwale said.
"I am ready to defend this project to my last breath even it means stripping and walking necked."
The Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) is a sustainable metropolis with a big medical and technology complex situated in Mumias sub county in Kakamega County.
Besides the hospital, the complex also has a multi-billion shillings shopping and residential setup. The hospital has the capacity to accommodate 5,000 in patients.
"No one should ever think that I will go sleep and allow the completion of this project frustrated by enemies of development," the MP said.
The complex is being constructed with renewable energy sources with hundreds of solar-powered street lights and a golf course.
