Nyaribari-Masaba MP Elijah Moindi has disclosed that 17 health facilities have been earmarked to benefit from the free equipment and services even as efforts to revamp the facilities were being intensified.
Moindi said the equipment, including X-ray machines, will soon be distributed to health facilities in the area and measures put in place to ensure the residents who could not afford the medical diagnostic services accessed by them.
He explained that a total of 180 high capacity water tanks had been strategically installed at public institutions to provide water which is a prerequisite for health care service provision.
Addressing the press, the legislator disclosed that drilling of boreholes was ongoing in the constituency where a total of three had already been commissioned.
The boreholes, he remarked, will go a long way to alleviate water shortage in areas of difficult terrain especially during the dry season.
Moindi assured residents of Kiamokama Ward that their fears concerning security issues had been addressed and urged them to concentrate on development activities.
