Mwala sub-county residents have been assured to benefit from six dams.
The guarantee has been issued by the area Mp, Eng Vincent Musyoka.
Speaking from his office in Mwala town on April 20, the Mp said that all six wards in his sub-county will each benefit from a dam.
He said that it is his duty to ensure that his people do not suffer from water scarcity.
"I have decided to ensure that dams are constructed to end water menace in the constituency. I have already bought lands at which dams will be constructed and set aside money to do the work. Dams include Kwe Tinga dam in Masii ward, Kwa Luvai dam in Makutano ward, Masisya dam in Wamunyu ward, Kwa Mutula dam in Kibauni ward, Kwa Masilu dam in Mmuthetheni ward and Kwa Nguta dam in Mbiuni ward," he said.
Musyoka said that the work will commence towards the end of April, and it will take approximately six months, therefore, expected to be fully completed by November 2016.
He urged residents to make good use of them and avoid watering their cattle from dams.
