Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has promised to purchase a school bus for Magura secondary school.

Borabu MP Ben Momanyi speaking during the official opening of Magura secondary school on Thursday said he will allocate CDF funds to ensure the school acquires a school bus that will be used by learners to go for educational tours.

“I will ensure Magura secondary school gets a school bus before the end of this year so that learners can be able to visit other schools outside Nyamira County to learn to improve on performance,” he said.

He called on local politicians from the region to join hands to ensure the learners in the new schools gets the necessary support for better performance in exams. 

The lawmaker commended Zarina and Naushad Merali Foundation for partnering with Sasini Limited to construct the school at a cost of Sh50 million saying he will work closely with the private sectors in the region to develop the constituency. 

“Parents should now ensure their children are enrolled in the new school in the region because education is the key for life,” he added.
