The MP claims that Raila wants to politicise the government decision to withdrawal soldiers from South Sudan.

Speaking to journalists in Juja town on Monday, Munyua claimed that Raila want to engage the government in propaganda by politicking the withdrawal of Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) soldiers from South Sudan.

Munyua defended Uhuru’s action to withdraw solders saying that it is within his mandates as provided in the constitution.

“Raila should keep off from military affairs because he is not the commander of the country’s armed forces,” he said.

The Juja MP said that Raila’s criticism of the government on the KDF withdrawal is malicious.

Raila has hit out at President Uhuru accusing him of contravening the constitution by ordering withdrawal of KDF from South Sudan.

According to Raila, President Uhuru bypassed Parliament in his decision to withdraw soldier from the war tone country.

On Monday Raila accused the Uhuru government of ignoring the constitution.

He further termed Uhuru’s withdrawal of soldiers from South Sudan as ill-advised and done out of anger.

Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday defended Uhuru saying that he has powers to protect the soldiers.

The DP asked Raila and his camp to stop playing politics with security issues.

Two weeks ago President Kenyatta ordered Kenyan troops deployed to Sudan Suda to return after Kenya’s head of UN peacekeeping Lieutenant Johnson Mogoa Kimani Ondieki was dismissed by UN boss Ban Kimoon over allegations he failed to protect civilians against attacks in South Sudan.

Already the Kenyan troops have started arriving in the country following President Kenyatta’s order.
