More leaders are now calling for disbandment of the National Transport and Safety Authority.
This is after an accident at the Salgaa balck spot left over 30 people dead on Sunday morning.
Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi has vowed to sponsor a motion to disband NTSA once Parliament resumes session in February.
In an interview with the press at his Kalisasi home, the Mulyungi said that the main reason behind formation of NTSA was not that more people continue dying on the roads, but to stop killings on Kenyan roads.
He said that NTSA has allowed too many people to die in road accidents so far without taking appropriate measures.
The lawmaker cited corruption and collusion between NTSA officers and the police as some of the reasons behind rising deaths on Kenyan roads.
