Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has promised to supply electricity to all public secondary and primary schools in the constituency before the end of this year.

Speaking after touring Gatundu South over the weekend, Kuria said that enough funds have been set aside for the supply of electricity in the area.

He said that they are working closely with Kiambu County government and the Rural Electrification Authority to make sure that all public schools get electricity.

45 out 57 public primary schools in the constituency have been supplied with electricity. We want all our public schools to have electricity by the end of this year,” said Kuria.

He said that the remaining 12 will have electricity supplied before June this year and that the plan to have all secondary schools supplied with the same will be through by the end of the year.

Kuria said that supply of electricity will make it easier for integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in learning in the area.

He added that the constituency will work with leaders and the national government to boost education.

He urged parents to make sure that their children are enrolled in schools adding that poverty can be well fought through education
