Mavoko MP Patrick Makau wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to immediately halt his voter registration campaigns and address the biting drought and ongoing doctor’s strike.
The MP says that it is unfair for Uhuru to continue with campaigns when Kenyans are at risk of dying of hunger.
Speaking in Mlolongo on Tuesday, Makau asked Uhuru to move with speed and address the drought ravaging some parts of the country.
“It is saddening that the President can afford to continue with the campaigns when Kenyans are suffering,” he said.
The MP alleged that Jubilee has no priority and is the most confused government ever in the country's history.
“Voter campaigns should not be a priority when hunger and drought is ravaging the country,” he said.
Makau said that Jubilee has failed Kenyans.
He said that Kenyans will vote out Uhuru’s government in August general elections.
The Wiper lawmaker asked opposition supporters to register saying it is the only way they will be able to get rid of the Jubilee government.
