The Ford Kenya Party MP said he will not ignore the traders who overwhelmingly voted for him in the 2017 elections.

“I won’t ignore traders’ calls to construct modern business stalls at Mosocho market. CDF funds will be allocated to ensure a qualified contractor is awarded the tender to construct the stalls for the traders to use in their various business activities,” he said.

He called on the market management officials to ensure once the stalls are constructed trader will not be exploited to hire the stalls.

"I will not condone the market management officials who will take advantage of the new stalls to be constructed at the market to hike the prices when traders will be hiring the stalls. The stalls will be affordable because the traders depend on their businesses to feed their families and pay school fees for their children,” he added.

Onyonka assured that no single cent from the CDF kitty will be misused or misappropriated in his tenure.

He warned CDF officials against diverting development funds to their own pockets saying nobody will derail his development agenda to the people of Kitutu Chache South.
