A politician from Kitutu Chache North constituency Evans Nyakundi has urged area Mp Jimmy Angwenyi to show transparency in the distribution of bursary funds in the constituency.
Nyakundi said many of the needy children and those from poor backgrounds in the constituency have not been benefited from the CDF kitty and continue suffering in their quest for education prompting some not to discontinue their academics.
According to his post on face book account, Nyakundi alleged that area Mp Jimmy Angwenyi rewards his supporter’s children in the distribution of bursary funds instead of openly giving the funds to needy children among others who apply for the money.
“Now that you stopped any activity concerning CDF for the last five year in office, can you use the provisions available in the CDF act and allocate like 15% so that more students benefit thus reducing the burden on poor parents who are actually poor due to poor leadership,” posted Nyakundi
He further challenged the MP to come and bring together area residents and organise on how the constituency will move forward in development projects
Efforts to reach area MP to clarify the allegations never succeeded.
