Kisauni Member of Parliament Rashid Bedzimba has urged contractors who have been assigned various projects in the constituency to speed up the works.
Speaking in Bwagamoyo during the inspection of an ongoing road project, Bedzimba said some contractors are doing excellent work while others have become lazy.
"I need to deliver what I had earlier promised my constituents before next year's general election. I urge all the contractors to pull up their socks because people need to use the services," said Bedzimba.
The MP further warned the contractors against doing shoddy work, saying the culprits will not be paid and their contracts will be revoked.
Bedzimba also warned the contractors against bribing county officials in a bid to be awarded the contracts.
"If we find anyone bribing officials in order to be given a contract, I can assure you that the law will take its course. We are committed to the fight against corruption," he added.
