Jomvu MP Badi Twalib has called on the police and other investigative agencies to probe the cause of a fire that razed down two classrooms at Jomvu Primary School on Sunday.
Speaking shortly after visiting the school on Sunday, the legislator further announced that he had allocated Sh3 million through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) kitty to ensure the reconstruction of the two classrooms.
"These classrooms were burnt completely and the cause of the fire has not been established so far. I have directed the police to investigate the cause of the inferno that destroyed properties of unknown amount," he said.
"I have immediately allocated Sh3 million through Jomvu CDF and my team will bring the engineer on Tuesday next week for the sake of preparing the Bill of Quantity so that the construction can kick-off as soon as possible," he added.
