Residents of Machakos County have been urged to support projects initiated by the county government for their benefit.
Addressing residents in Athi River town, the Mavoko Member of Parliament, Patrick Makau, said it was high time the residents supported the projects initiated by the government since they were meant to improve their livelihoods.
“I want to applaud area governor, Alfred Mutua, for exemplary work that he is doing in the county, and the many projects he has accomplished for the residents since his government came into power,” said Makau.
The MP said the county was among the best in terms of service delivery, and urged the area leaders to put in more effort to make the region be emulated by others.
“The governor would visit Athi River town to commission some of the county projects which had been implemented by his government, which will be a huge boost to the people,” he said.
The legislator urged residents to turn up in large numbers so as to support the projects in a bid to encourage more development to come to the place.
