Nyaribari Chache lawmaker Richard Tong'i has called upon the Gusii Community to kick out non-performing leaders during the next general election.
According to Tong'i, the region needs better leaders who can spearhead the development of the region in the coming years.
“We have seen many of the residents voting in non-performers now and again something which is unacceptable and I would advise you not to repeat the same again,” said Tong'i.
While addressing residents in his constituency on Monday evening, Tong'i urged residents to take their time and vet leaders before electing them in office while at the same time uniting against bad leadership.
“We are one people and we don’t need to fight one another over political differences that will see us lose our lives” he added.
