Parents, teachers and students have been asked to put more effort to ensure that they help in improving education standards in Gusii region.
Speaking at Itongo Primary School in Sengera, when he made visits to various schools in his constituency, Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire said that there is need for all leaders from the Gusii region, parents, teachers and students to put their heads together, so as to take the education level to a higher level in the region.
“We do not want to have cases of national examination results for schools from the Gusii region withheld, and this will only be achieved if we all come together, because everyone has a role to play in the prosperity of education in the Gusii region,” he said.
He also said that this is the only way schools from the Gusii region can stop cases of cheating that have for so long affected the results of students in the region.
Speaking on the Garissa University College attack by the Al Shabaab that claimed the lives of 148 innocent students, Bosire called on the government to ensure that it beefs security to every Kenyan, adding that it is so wrong if the government had received intelligence information earlier but failed to work on it.
