The lawmaker stated that parents who are unable to support their children should not shy away from seeking help at his office.

“My office is open to all seeking help. Pupils who sat for KCPE in 2017, passed well but unable to raise fees will be given free scholarship using the CDF kitty to enable them to enroll in secondary schools in January when schools re-opens,” he said.

Oyioka added that no charges will be asked from parents for their children to benefit.

“Parents should be on high alert not to be misled by selfish individuals who may be out to ask for bribes. All beneficiaries will have their names printed and put on the notice board at CDF offices in Suneka,” he said.

He urged secondary and college students to apply for a bursary to receive the funds to support their parents when paying school fees.
