Mvita MP Abdulswamad Nassir has challenged youth drawn from the constituency to take advantage of the Youth and Uwezo Funds being offered by the government.
Speaking on Monday at the Chief's office, in Majengo during a Youth Entrepreneurship Forum, the legislator urged the youth to employ entrepreneurship skills to enable them reap huge profits from their investment.
"I want to implore each one of you to invest these government funds wisely for better profits," he said.
"White collar jobs are becoming increasingly scarce and the next frontier to accommodate our jobless youths is the business sector. I'm therefore calling upon each one of you who has benefited in these programmes to invest in opportunities that can bring about good returns," he added.
The programme, which is co-sponsored by Haki Africa and Africa Youth Trust organizations, seeks to empower over 40 youth from Mvita with entrepreneurship skills.
