A Jubilee MP from Mt Kenya region has volunteered to forward an IEBC motion in Parliament on behalf of the Opposition Cord.

Kanini Kega of Kieni on Tuesday asked Cord leaders to hand him the motion if they are afraid of taking it to the Speaker so that he can do it on their behalf.

"We will not allow Opposition leaders to take Kenyans into the streets and demand things to happen against the Constitution," he said. 

Although he is in support of the IEBC reforms, he said the right channel should be followed.

"Soon Cord will demand all officials working in all the constitutional bodies including the President to move out of office through street protests," the lawmaker said in his constituency.
