A Member of Parliament allied to the opposition NASA has vowed to resign in two weeks time.

According to Nyando lawmaker Jared Okello, he will step down if NASA leader Raila Odinga is not sworn in as president.

Okello's sentiments come at a time when NASA reiterated that Raila's swearing -in is still on course.

The swearing -in was postponed from December 12th after teh opposition claimed that the absence of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Musyoka is currently in Germany where his wife Pauline is undergoing specialized treatment.

Speaking on Sunday in Kilifi, NASA leader Raila Odinga said that he will be sworn despite the goverment threatening him with treason.

On Saturday, NASA CEO Norman Magaya said that the swearing-in of Odinga will be conducted before the end of the year.
