Bondo MP Gideon Ochanda has vowed to take legal action on against the police for allegedly using live ammunition against NASA protesters. This comes after three people were shot dead in his constituency on Friday during anti-IEBC demonstrations."I will move to court and compel the Government to compensate the families of the deceased and the injured protesters," he said while addressing journalists on Sunday. The MP's remarks come as NASA leaders call for international agencies to investigate acts of genocide allegedly committed by police on opposition supporters."We are appealing to credible human rights organisations to investigate the profiling and killing of NASA supporters without justification. They want to turn NASA areas into the Biafra or Kosovo of Kenya," said Siaya Senator James Orengo, as quoted by The Nation. The opposition has however vowed to continue with the mass protests until their demands for electoral reforms are met.
