A Kisii County elected NASA MP has said that IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati should be arrested and prosecuted for failing the electoral agency to conduct free presidential polls last year.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka said Chebukati is a national disaster who belongs to be taken to jail.
“The recent resignation of IEBC commissioner is evident that the electoral agency manipulated presidential election results last year. The same Chebukati was confused during the repeat of Presidential polls but failed to stop the elections. It is time how should be arrest and be prosecuted,” said the Ford Kenya MP.
Onyonka stated that Chebukati should be blocked from getting his monthly salary because he is a criminal who is not fit to hold any public office.
He said that the violence that was witnessed last year in the country should be blamed on Mr Chebukati.
"The deaths of innocent Kenyans should not go unpunished because we have Chebukati who should be held accountable,” he said.
