Speaking when he toured Bahati constituency over the weekend, area MP Kimani Ngunjiri said residents are counting on the government for delivery of services.

The MP added that the county has enough resources that should be channeled to development and help improve the lives of residents.

“Nakuru is among top counties that receive huge funds from the government, the same should be done development,” he said.

Ngunjiri said the essence of devolving some key national government functions was to ensure residents access services.

The Bahati lawmaker asked locals to be steadfast and seek to know the development activities being carried out.

He said that the constitution has given residents the right to demand services and take part in development.

The MP pledged to fast-track development activities across Bahati constituency, saying he is closely working with both the county and the national government on development.

He urged local leaders to unite for the sake of working and fulfilling development pledges they made to the people during the 2013 general election campaigns.
