Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has called for the decentralization of issuance of birth certificates from sub-county to Ward levels.
This, he said this will ensure the services are offered effectively and efficiently and can be accessed by residents."I want to call upon the government to decentralize birth certificate issuance offices from Sub-county offices to Ward levels as this will help minimize the cost of transport and also prevent long queues being witnessed in the sub-county birth registration offices," Kositany said in Eldoret town, Saturday."They should also employ graduates who will move door to door taking raw data on those wanting this crucial document thereafter forwarding to the sub-county birth registration offices.
