A Jubilee Member of Parliament has revealed that he will be moving to court next week to seek orders stopping salaries for Members of County Assembly (MCAs) that have passed the controversial people's assembly motion.

Soy MP Caleb Kositany says MCAs who have passed the motion doesn't deserve to earn salaries from public coffers since they do not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta's presidency.

Speaking in Eldoret on Monday, the first time MP insisted that the people's assembly motion being fronted by the National Super Alliance (NASA) is unconstitutional.

"Now that some county assemblies have passed a motion saying they don't recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as their President, I have already instructed my lawyers to file a case with one of the prayers being to deny those MCAs salaries," Kositany said.

"There is no way those MCAs should be allowed to be paid by the same government they say they don't recognize," he added.

Kisumu, Migori, Homa Bay, Siaya, Makueni, Vihiga, Busia, Kitui, Kakamega and Bungoma County Assemblies have already passed the motion.
