Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao has called upon the government to declared NASA Resistance Movement (NRM) illegal.

According to the lawmaker, the resistance is not good for the economy of this nation.

Speaking on Sunday alongside former Kitui Central MP Joe Mutambo, Munyao said that the resistance movement is aimed at disrupting the peaceful co-existence among Kenyan’s adding that the government should not allow the same to happen following the declaration of former Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga who dropped from the rerun.

"We want the government to crackdown the perpetrators of the gorilla movement that is cropping up. History has shown us that such movements cause bloodshed," he stated.

On his part, Mutambo said that the NASA presidential candidate duped the Kamba community to back him for the nation’s top seat only for him to transform the alliance he was contesting on its ticket into a resistance movement.

He argued that Raila asked the Kamba nation to back him in return for his support for Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka only for him to change course along the way. Raila has maintained that he will not allow the Jubilee regime cling on power through what he terms as unconstitutional means.
