West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said several people are stuck in towns because night travels were banned
“Banning night travels was ill advised and has negatively affected the public. Matatu operators and owners have incurred huge losses and I am calling on NTSA to lift the ban for Kenyans to travel across the country at anytime of choice,” he said.
Kemosi said the government should speed up the opening of roads across the country to avert road carnage.
“Roads should be expanded so that motorists will have a wide space when driving and this may help to reduce accidents but not banning night travels. PSVs pay revenue to the government and if the ban is not lifted, revenue collection will go down,” he noted.
