Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and have two major road projects in the region completed before 2017 polls.

Speaking at Nyaguku region on Wednesday, Bosire cited dissatisfaction in manner at which contractors handling Kemera-Amabuko and Mosobeti-Metamaywa road were handling their job

He blamed politics behind the slow construction of the roads and urged the president to issue a public statement over the matter.

“I want to urge the President to issue a statement over slow construction of the two roads. I have raised the concern in all relevant authorities but nothing is yet being done,” he said.

“I suspect political witch hunting in a development project but my wish is the President will help me know the truth because my people also deserves respect because they pay taxes,” he said.

He also challenged the president to make a maiden trip to the region to compensate a last minute elation ion of his tour late April our security concerns.

“I also want to urge the president to visit my constituency so that he sees what we are going through in terms of infrastructure. We should differentiate politics from development,” he added.

Bosire is on record for defying the President’s directive to stand in honor of fallen soldiers earlier this year in Somalia during the State of the Nation Address.
