Wandayi claims that it is malicious for Uhuru to link Raila to the post-election violence.

According to the MP, Raila had no role in the post-poll skirmishes that rocked the country after the disputed 2007/2008 presidential results.

“It is malicious for President Kenyatta to claim that Raila Odinga ignited the 2007/2008 post-election violence,” said the MP as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Wandayi claimed that Uhuru’s statement is meant to incite voters against the opposition. The MP said that Jubilee is afraid of losing the August election and is looking for excuses.

“Jubilee has sensed defeat and wants to distract the opposition activities though malicious propaganda,” he said.

On Tuesday, President Kenyatta alleged that Raila ignited the 2007/2008 post poll chaos.

The President who was speaking in Kisii alleged that Raila campaigned against Kikuyus leading to the 2007/2008 post poll chaos.

The president remarks on the post poll chaos have been condemned by a section of politicians who say it was wrong for Uhuru to re-open debate on the chaos that led to loss of lives, destruction of property and mass displacement of people.
