Kangundo Member of Parliament Fabian Kyule has warned NASA supporters against breaking the law during their protests to push for electoral reforms.

Speaking during a Sunday service at AIC Ikulu in Kangundo, Kyule told the protesters to exercise restraint and observe the law.

"The protests should be carried in accordance to the Constitution. The Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet should ensure his officers do not use excessive force on protesters," the MP said.

The remarks comes days after the Government outlawed protests in the country's major cities over violence and destruction during demos.

However, NASA has moved to court to stop police brutality on demonstrators.

Through lawyer Jackson Awele, the Opposition alliance wants the court to suspend the order issued by Acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i banning protests in Central Business Districts of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa.

NASA has also accused security officers of subjecting their supporters to unjustified harassment and killings.

On Monday a Form Four student was allegedly shot in Kisumu during anti-IEBC protests.
