Gichugu MP Njogu Barua has exuded confidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be re-elected during the August polls.
Speaking in Gichugu on Friday, Barua noted that the Jubilee administration has met pledges made to Kenyans in the run up to the 2013 general elections, adding that the party will beat Opposition alliance NASA by a wider margin.
"Our strongholds registered a large number of voters compared to areas perceived to be supporting Nasa," he said.
"Jubilee will be reelected since it has met most of the pledges made during campaigns for the 2013 general election," he added.
The legislator further hit out at the Opposition, warning that huge crowds pulled by the outfit in areas perceived to be Jubilee strongholds will not translate to votes during the August polls.
He challenged Kirinyaga residents to back President Kenyatta's reelection bid, observing that they stand to reap from the administration.
