A Jubilee legislator has blasted Royal Media Services owner S.K Macharia over his claims that ODM party leader Raila Odinga won the 2007 elections.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri said Macharia's statements were 'tired narratives' that could plunge the country to unprecedented chaos in this years's elections.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the MP claimed that Macharia, former Attorney General Charles Njonjo and former Kiambaa MP Stanley Githunguri bankrolled Odinga's campaigns hoping that he would win.
"Macharia's statements are completely tired narratives that could plunge the country into chaos. He should be ignored because he seems to water down peace which we have fought hard to sustain," he said.
"We are aware that Macharia, Charles Chonjo and Stanley Githunguri bankrolled Raila's campaigns hoping that he would win. This is not the right way to go," he added.
Macharia claimed that Odinga had won 2007 elections st least according to the data RMS had collected from every polling station across the country.
