Opposition Members of parliament have been called to ensure that they stand firm so that they can ensure they stop Jubilee from amending the election laws that may weaken the electioneering system.
According to Riana ward Representative Philip Motonu Jubilee is currently plotting to weaken the electoral system so that they can easily rig the upcoming election and there is a need for the legislators to ensure that they stand on their feet to stop that.
He though said it won’t be an easy task as the current national assembly has more members of parliament associated to Jubilee hence they need to work harder to convince them.
“If the law passes then Kenya risks burning down as the opposition won't allow any election to take place as they have a fear that the government is likely looking forward to rig the upcoming election,” he added.
This comes after the Jubilee legislators looked forward to amending laws that will allow the IEBC to use the manual identification of voters if the electronic system fails a move which has been rejected by the opposition.
Motonu was speaking at Governor Ongwae's residence where he accompanied a group of youths.
