Five MPs from Nyamira County have been thrown to defense following their meeting on Thursday with DP William Ruto, which was closely guarded secret.
The five, selected from both political divide, were accused of absconding their constitutional duties by seeking developmeng using backdoor means.
"The constitution is clear. MPs are in charge of allocation of funds. Their meeting doesn't make logic," protested Samuel Arwasa.
Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire said: " The era of begging for development is long gone. Let them stop hoodwinking us."
But in a rejoinder, West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said the meeting would open avenue for developmeng in the county.
"We are justified to engage top leadership of the country. This is the only way we can proper as a community."
Among those who attended include Ben Momanyi (Borabu), Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango), Shadrack Mose (KitutuKitutu Masaba) and Jerusha Momanyi.
Critics argue that Ruto is using the meetings to position himself ahead of 2022.
