[Photo|Parliament of Kenya]Singer turned Starehe MP Charlse Njagua Kanyi, alias Jaguar had a tough time to present his maiden speech at the National Assembly, Thursday. This is after some members interrupted him, severally by singing his "Kigeugeu" song, when he stood to address, while others jeered when he boasted, that his constituency houses the prime offices of all MPs."Mr Speaker, I am telling the honourable members that I am the landlord of this House because the Parliament Buildings are located in Starehe constituency," said Jaguar, amid jeers and shouts from fellow members.Deputy Speaker Moses Cheboi was forced to come to his rescue, so as to complete his speech."Proceed the honourable member. I want to assure you that nobody will interrupt you as you make your maiden speech," said Cheboi. At some point, Jaguar used 'Sheng' language in his address, angering some of his colleagues, who heckled him."I want to repeat that there will be no interruptions. Other than that, members must speak using the language which they started using when they started addressing the House. So, nobody will interrupt honourable Jaguar, at all," added Cheboi. The Jubilee lawmaker further continued with his maiden speech, which also also called for the development of music industry in Kenya.
