Two Luo legislators have accused the Jubilee administration of sidelining the Luo community in awarding senior government positions.
Speaking on Tuesday, Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo and his Ugenya counterpart David Ochieng' said the government of the day has marginalised the community, citing the recent nomination of the IEBC nominees.
"Tribalism in this country is more dangerous than terrorism. As leaders, we will not keep quiet when communities are being marginalised," Gumbo said.
"Why was Aura's name left out yet he beat most of the candidates whose names were presented for nomination?" He posed.
"We demand an explanation for why people from the Luo community cannot be considered even if they are fit for top positions," he added.
Ochieng', on his part, cautioned the Jubilee government against any attempt to rig the next polls.
