Members of parliament have agreed to work together with security agents in their ongoing battle against terror.

This comes in the wake of the four year anniversary of the Westgate Shopping Mall attack that claimed 67 lives.

National Assembly deputy majority whip Cecily Mbarire assured that the Jubilee administration has implemented measures aimed at securing the country since the attack.

Mbarire also said there are further plans to set up and equip more police stations across the country via the National Government Constituency Development Fund.

"Since the Westgate terror attack, we have not seen another major attack from al Shabaab. We will continue supporting the Nyumba Kumi initiative and deradicalising our youths," she said as quoted by The Star.

According to Mbarire, President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration has increased the recruitment of police and improved the medical insurance cover, housing and training.

She went on to praise the Head of State for improvements made in the security sector.
