There was an outbreak of laughter in parliament as Garissa Township Member of Parliament and House Leader of the Majority launched a brutal dress-down of Ford Kenya Party leader, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.
The vocal lawmaker made fun of the fact that Wetangula had been given the position of the Leader of the Minority yet his party had won only one seat in the Senate, calling it a travesty of justice.
''You cannot complain after being made the Leader of the Minority yet your party won only one seat compared to another party that garnered more than 20 seats. You want to be included in talks yet you have no numbers. You should allow those with numbers to engage with Jubilee,'' Hon. Aden Duale said to great laughter.
Hon. Duale's words were made today in parliament during the submission of a document to the speaker aimed at building bridges between communities.
They came in the wake of great unease within NASA over Odinga's decision to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta without involving other NASA principles.
