Speaker Justin Muturi would yet again face a tough task in controlling the house following his unanimous reelection by MPs.
On Thursday, Muturi secured his seat easily after getting support from more than 220 MPs despite initial boycotting threats by opposition MPs.
In the 11th parliament, Muturi got a fare share of dram especially during the controversial passing of security Bill and elections laws.
And the trend is likely to continue given the simmering rivalry between opposition NASA and Jubilee legislators.
But notable among those expected to make parliament lively include Babu Owino (Embakasi East), Glads Wanga (Homabay), Millie Odhiambo (Suba North) and Dagoretti North’s Simba Arati.
From the government side, Kimani Inchungwa of Kikuyu, Moses Kuria of Gatundu South and Johanna Ng’eno of Emurua Dikir are expected to lead troops.
Notably, Majority Leader Aden Duale will take total control of the house by articulating government agenda in the house.
