Abdi is at crossroads to fend off claims that he obtained a degree certificate from Uganda’s Kampala University without ever being admitted to the institution of higher learning.

With slightly over one month for Kenyans to go to the polls Abdi argues that he obtained the degree certificate after successfully completing his studies at the Ugandan university.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the institution.

But Jubilee leaders blame Governor Abdullahi for coining claims that Abdi never studied at the university with the aim of discrediting him ahead of the August election.

Wajir East MP Abbass Sheikh said Abdullahi had resorted to unconventional ways in his quest to retain his seat. The JP leaders spoke in Wajir town.

Tarbaj MP Mohamed Elmi and Aden Keynan (Aldas) were present. They said Governor Abdullahi’s moves will not yield telling him to prepare to pack and retire after August 8.

They said Abdullahi had sensed defeat after failing Wajir residents during his reign as governor that began in 2013.

Abdullahi on Wednesday dismissed the claims saying his opponents had turned against him after he rejected their proposal to offer them tenders meant for personal gain.
