A number of MPs allied to the opposition NASA have claimed that Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale is preventing dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Saturday, Homa Bay's Gladys Wanga, Samuel Atandi (Alego Usonga), and Lillian Gogo (Rangwe) said that NASA hd given Jubilee an ample time for talks but now they have no choice but to swear-in Raila.
"Duale thinks we are not serious with our swearing-in plans. He needs to know that we are not ready to be in a country of electoral injustices," Atandi said.
Atandi further stated that they will not allow any dialogue after Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka are sworn-in as a president and deputy president.
The Opposition has announced plans for the swearing in ceremony which they said is at an advanced stage.
"NASA leaders had extended a hand for dialogue but Jubilee declined to participate. The door for dialogue will be closed as soon as Raila is sworn in," Atandi said.
They spoke during a funeral at God Bondo village in Rangwe constituency, Homa Bay county.
NASA has planned to swear in Raila by January 30.
