Kisii county assembly speaker Mr Kerosi Ondieki has called upon the National government to ensure that they set aside funds so that the members of parliament can be regularly screened to test their psychological health.
According to the county speaker the recent decisions most of them were making are worrying and by them undergoing health checkup would ensure that they make rational decisions that won’t affect the country.
Reacting to the recent contentious election bill that was passed by the majority of the parliamentarians Kerosi said that they did not weigh both sides to see the side effects and he would like them to review it.
“If the trend continues the MPs will soon pass bills into laws that only favors them not remembering that they will one day get out of the system and the laws will highly affect them,” he added.
Kerosi was speaking in Kisii on Thursday while in the governor's Christmas lighting ceremony.
