In the bill, Kassait seeks to abolish the office of Deputy President that is currently held by William Ruto, and create a Prime Minister’s post.

According to the bill, The PM will be an elected MP and Leader of Government Business in Parliament and will have two deputies.

A section of residents who spoke to a Hivisasa writer  in Kisumu on Wednesday said they support the MP's propsed bill, while a section of others equally opposed the bill.

“I Adongo Nyakwar Andui, I oppose that bill. The MP's intention is to ensure that Uhuru Kenyatta becomes the Prime Minister after his term as president comes to an end in 2022,” he claimed.“

"I fully support him. That is the only way to end tension in this country after each General Election,” said Charles Abong’o.

NASA leader Raila Odinga enjoys fanatical following in Kisumu County, and other Nyanza Counties.
