Hundreds of Nyamira residents have come in defense of embattled Journalist Abuga Makori over an article he directly accused area MPs of allegedly conning President Uhuru Kenyatta Sh500, 000.
In the detailed article on social media, the journalist exposed alleged misappropriation of the money which was part of OP's Sh1.5 million for Narok accident victims.
Already, Nyamira DCI Millicent Ochuka has summoned Mr. Makori, who is set to honour the summons on Wednesday.
"I will honour the summons and I do fear anyone. They can collude but cannot hide the truth," he wrote on Nyamira Politics WhatsApp forum.
But in the same platform, users accused the MPs of intimidation and threatened to 'teach them a lesson' in subsequent polls.
"The MPs are not genuine in their response. They have just reported Abuga without giving their official position. This is intimidation," said Moseti Moseti.
Another user, Fred Ongeri said: "We shall deal with the MPs when the right comes. The court of public opinion is waiting anxiously."
Those accused include Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, North Mugirango's Joash Nyamoko and Vincent Kemosi of West Mugirango.
In a recorded voice call, Kemosi insisted that the president only gave Sh1 million which was presented during the requiem mass.
