A middle-aged man accused of seducing female MPs and defrauding others will stay behind bars for seven more days, a court ruled on Thursday.

The period was granted after probation officer requested it against Wazir Chacha.

Chief Magistrate Roseline Oganyo allowed an application by Probation Officer Jenevive Akinyi to be given more time to file the report.

Akinyi said she has interviewed Chacha but she is yet to interview Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege and former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo.

The case will be mentioned on April 25.
