Members of the National Assembly are set to form a committee that will vet new Cabinet Secretaries on Wednesday.

According to clerk Michael Sialai the Appointment Committee "will vet Cabinet Secretaries, as and when nominated" by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Uhuru kicked off his second term on Tuesday following his inauguration which followed the October 26 election and the Supreme Court upholding his win.

There are reports that the president is preparing a major reshuffle that will see most Cabinet Secretaries and principal secretaries sent home.

The opposition coalition of NASA has already told its members to avoid Parliamentary business that will involve approving anything that comes from Uhuru.

"We don't recognise the elections for we have not delegated our sovereignty to Uhuru...we ask Opposition MPs not to participate in the vetting of Uhuru's cabinet and other appointments," NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi said last Saturday.
