The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale has been challenged to respect Cord leader Raila Odinga since he is not in his league.
Speaking Sunday in Manga, Nyamira County during the homecoming of Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire, Kilifi County woman rep Aisha Jumwa told Duale to respect the former Prime Minister since they are at different levels.
“We want the Leader of Majority Aden Duale to know that he will not be in Raila's league hence, he should respect him,” she said.
Her Busia counterpart Florence Mutua accused Duale of calling them hate mongers.
“We want to let the Leader of Majority Aden Duale to know that we are not hate mongers as he always says. We are peace ambassadors,” insisted Mutua.
On his part, Siaya Senator James Orengo said they will put pressure for the arrest of the people who he claimed fixed the lawmakers to be detained in police cells since 'they did not do anything wrong.'
Mr Bosire was among the Pangani Six and Muthaiga Two who were arrested and charged with hate speech in a Nairobi court.
The ODM members from Nyamira county and other counties who were present they said the order was from above which made their colleagues who were arraigned and charged in court with hate speech to be intimidated.
“We are told that the order came from above but we will let them know that we will push until the end so that impunity comes to an end for the better of this nation,” they said.
Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama and his Kisii counterpart Governor James Ongwae attended the rally.
