Narok Governor Samuel ole Tunai has called on the legislators to pass the bill that has already been tabled before parliament.

Narok County Governor Samuel ole Tunai is now calling upon Members of Parliament (MPs) to see into it that a Bill championing for the rights of teachers and an improvement in their salaries for teachers have been tabled and passed into law.

“I feel for teachers, and I will liaise with Narok MPs to see that they have tabled a Bill to support teachers especially in hardship areas. You see the problem is the president can’t just wake up and increase teachers’ salaries, it is a parliamentary procedure,” said Tunai.

Tunai speaking over the weekend further called on the teachers to review Jubilee’s track record and compare it to the opposition’s.

He pleaded with teachers to support Jubilee pointing out that it is hard to bargain for development from the government if the region votes the opposite way.
